The GP4 Me initiative is funded by the doctors and government of BC. This program ensures that patients find a family doctor, strengthens the doctor-patient relationship and supports the health care system’s capacity.

BC’s healthcare out-did itself with the 2008 opening of the Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre (ARHCC). The hospital includes acute care, operated by Fraser Health. Its cancer facility is operated by the globally renowned BC Cancer Agency. ARHCC is Canada’s first new hospital to meet LEED Gold environmental standards. Energy efficient, it consumes 40% less energy than other hospitals. It also boasts being the city’s biggest employer.
